Freelancer Rules
No PvP in New York System for under level 68. All above that level are an open target. Players are not allowed to attack other players if they are below level 68. This is to give new players a chance to learn the game in relative safety. If you are caught attacking players under rank 60 in this area you will be asked to compensate the player you attacked.

No Spawn Killing
Players are not allowed to attack players as they undock.

Important
You are expected to use common sense when engaging other players. Attacking players that are significantly outnumbered and/or outclassed may result in an Admin action. The admin will use his or her best judgment in deciding whether players have been unfairly killed and will take action accordingly.

Admin Tagged Ships have [Admin] Tag
Police Tagged Ships have [Police] Tag

Only [X] or [H] tagged player may tax/fine. These players are identified with tags [X] or [H]. [X] stands for Pirates they tax, an explanation of their CoC shall follow shortly. [H] stands for Hunter, they fine, an explanation of their CoC shall also follow shortly.

Tax/Fine Amounts
The Tax/Fine amounts are unlimited. HOWEVER, fining a low level player an amount they do not have is not responsible game play or role play. An example of this is a level 30 players is fined 1 million credits. A level 30 player does not have close to a million credits. Taxing/Fining that player 100k is more realistic. We are giving you a great deal of leeway here, so please, role play responsibly and remember the person you are taxing/fining may be new here. So give them the benefit of the doubt. Keep in mind to keep your tax/fine amounts in check with the level of player you are trying to get money out of. Abuse of this rule constitutes asking a low level player for an absorbent amount of money he does not posses, and will create an admin action against you. REMEMBER TO PLAY RESPONSIBLY.

House Systems
ALL PLAYERS UNDER LEVEL 68 ARE PROTECTED IN ANY HOUSE SYSETM. House systems being New York, New Berlin, New Tokyo, New London.

The Pirate Code of Conduct
Players role playing as pirates must follow The Pirate Code.

Role
Only pirates are allowed to engage in activities such as mugging/tolling and taxing.

Tag
Pirates must use the tag [Pirate], [X]

You may use a clan tag in addition to the pirate tag.

Pirate Activity Areas
Pirates may kill any hunter.

The Hunters Code of Conduct
Players role playing as Hunters should follow The Hunters Code of Conduct.

Role
Hunters are expected to escort low level players or traders and protect them from pirates.

Tag
Hunters must use the tag [Hunter], [H].
You may use a clan tag in addition to the hunter tag.

Escorting
Hunters may charge for an escort.

Fines
Hunters may fine Pirates in any system.

Hunters can demand players to drop any illegal goods in any system, whether that player is tagged or untagged.

Contraband
Hunters can scan any ship for contraband (cardmine or alien artifacts). If they find any they can ask for that cargo to be dropped, they may also fine you and let you fly away with your cargo, the choice is up to them.

Hunters can also fine a player carrying contraband.

If the player carrying the contraband refuses then the hunter should kill them destroying their cargo.

Hunters may kill any pirate regardless of level as long as it is in a pvp zone.

The Rogue CoC
Players Role playing as Rogues should follow the Rogue Code of Conduct.

Tag
[Rogue], [R]

Role
The Rogue's role is to be dubious, he creates mischief and may kill at random.

Rogues may not be grouped with anyone, or work in unison with anyone, he plays alone, he is a rogue character and as such wanders the universe looking for victims. He may not tax or fine, but he can plunder your goods and money. Be very very careful if you intend to meet this character in game.

The Rogue role must let his victim go after a sufficient amount of kills. Tieing any player to a base for over an hour to aimlessly kill him will result in you losing your tag.

The Rogue may not tax/fine, but he can export from players. He may extort goods/credits/weapons.

Freelancers
Freelancers are defined as any untagged player who does not use [X], [H], or [R]. Colonial has always been a Role Play server, you are encouraged to Role Play on this server. However, if you choose not to Role Play, you must be untagged. Keep in mind if you are untagged and are taxed or fined you should have respect for the player that has beaten you, and pay his demands.

F1
The use of F1’ing into or out of a fight is a lame tactic, we do not encourage this, and if enough players complain about you constantly and consistently doing this, it will been an Admin action against you. Idling in a base to escape a fine/tax is also lame, please do not do it.

The Admin team of Colonial encourages fair game play, we hope you do too. Remember, being polite and courteous costs you nothing.
